Cleopatra Netflix "documentary (sic)"

Why is it that woke Americans are so deludedly obsessed with making their political categories the main character of every story they tell—and then they'll claim to be victims of a mess they created...... This is coming from someone who is knowledgeable about Classical Antiquity

Why are you assuming it's a "woke" person?  Aside from being black, I'm not sure that Jada Pinkett Smith is considered some crazy culture warrior, but I don't know.  If this wasn't being marketed as a "documentary" (which is stupid to begin with), I'm not sure what the problem would be.  In other words, shouldn't your complaint be with Netflix for mislabeling this, rather than the casting?  At least some of the people involved in the filming have labeled it a docudrama, in which case casting a black woman is inaccurate but hardly incendiary.

Just read some review or other and the director does actually outright state that it's a political choice to make the character black, which is pretty fucked up.

Give me a break. Are you living under a rock, or are you just doing mental gymnastics to pretend like you can’t see the Marxist nonsense that’s going on with modern media?
