Closing Dinner in a month, $15K Budget, 10-15 guests
Hello,
I have been put in charge of organizing a closing dinner NYC (midtown). The dinner is taking place in about a month, looking for a private room, budget is ~$15k, 10-15 guests. I do not work in NY or know the area all that well so any recommendations on the place that we would be able to book only a month ahead of time would be really appreciated.

If you have any banking contacts in NYC, ping them and see if they can refer you to who plans their closing dinners. I don't think people care too much though as long as it's private and has an open bar.

Funny that their "Brazilian barbecue" is better than the barbeque in Brazil.
Went there for the first time six months back, and ate so much steak I felt hungover for two days. It might seem a little mellow dramatic, but I haven't been able to eat steak since.

Try Momofuku Ko, great intimate spot and awesome food
That Italian place at the corner of Thomas Jefferson park is pretty good
How is it even possible to spend $1000/plate on dinner?
Maybe have a hotdog eating world championship at an expensive restaurant like Portillos?
Back to my rusty honda.
Alcohol. I'm in the Southeast, and one restaurant down here was charging $94 per GLASS for a bourbon that retails for $230 per BOTTLE. 1000% mark up. I imagine in NYC it must be much worse.
Time to find some BYOB restaurants!

You can't go wrong with a great steakhouse.
I would recommend renting out a cheap room and filling it with mcdonalds chicken nuggets. Total power move.
