So was talking to friends recently and they said I was too nice and respectful. I asked the GF and she kinda dodged the question but I could tell how she really felt. I have never had "beef" with anyone and if I have an argument/disagreement I don't start a fight over it or try and make them look bad, just take care of it privately. I also don't have much of social media following. How does one garner clout/start beef with people? How can I not be the "nice friend"?

When people refer to someone as too nice, they usually mean that the person is seen as passive, conflict-avoidant, or soft-stanced. It's important to be nice most of the time and it's okay to be easygoing but you start heading into soft territory when you don't take a stance on something you want or you don't stand your ground on your views (within reasonable means).
