Computer reccomendations?
Im a junior in college and my current laptop is breaking down, any recs for laptops that are good in IB? Basically just going to use this for school, emails, excel, and PowerPoint. Would greatly appreciate recs - currently I've got a Mac, but want something with a windows OS to run excel smoother
Just got the Asus Zenbook 14 with the new amd ai chip. Works great, probably one of the best in terms of value. Only $800
I think it's market standard (I'm at a large international bank so maybe it's different in the LMM / MM) for IBs to issue corporate laptops to employees - there's no use of personal devices for work, at least that I'm aware of.
In any event your main work applications will be MS like you say, so it's good to get used to that.
Sorry not to directly answer your question but I hope the context helps!
Asus are solid laptops
have always leaned towards Lenovo - pretty solid overall
anything you get make sure it has a number-pad, I've seen on a couple of occasions ppl getting a new machine and then constantly fumbling with the numbers at the top of the keyboard which is a help when having to do some number crunching exercise
The number pad tip is very helpful- thank you
I’ve been having a similar problem and recently bought an entry-level Thinkpad
dell xps 13 plus
Lenovo Thinkpad
Dell XPS 15
Dell Latitude
Whatever you do don’t get a thinkpad.
