sounds more like a PR job than analyst type
No idea. Sounds like a job title they'd give out at your neighborhood Staples. Def not IBD / Corp Fnce.
Typical entry level position in companies that do custody and fund administration. Boring ass, shit pay and nothing to learn to lateral to IB.
Stay away.
for the feedback everyone. This job was listed under the "investment banking" division of a really big Asset Management company and I was a bit confused.
That's wierd...the site probably made a mistake...or may be the job has the same title as the one I was talking about? Unlikely...and it's strange that an asset mgt firm would have an investment banking division lol
Post the link and we can double check.
The job title was:
State Street Investment Bank Corporate Actions Rep Foreign Exchange
The site is no longer available and all I can find now is "investment servicing" which I know has nothing to do with IB. So do you think it was a typo, or is there really anything called State Street Investment Bank? I am a bit confused as well. Thank you for your thoughts.
that is an operations job. is it based in cali? definitely back office. You process corporate actions for bonds and represent IM firms, trustees, etcetera.
very much guys. Yes it is in Cali and that's pretty good how you can tell. How did you guys know that? Is there anything that I can read so I would not have to answer such a question in the first place? Thanks
Was there a job description? That + the title is usually the easiest way to tell. I used to work in the BO at a global AM and dealt with State Street. This is definitely BO.
