Dating An Analyst...Yes, one of those threads.

Hi all - I'm new here. Stumbled upon this site and I'm here for some advice (as a girl...though this might be a bad idea lol)

I guess my question is for all those bankers out here, am I supposed to continue making the effort or from your perspective, because of your job, most of you are not interested in pursuing anything at all and find it annoying if some girl is reaching out to you a a couple times a week.

I'm new to this and I just can't seem to gage how some bankers try to navigate dating (if at all lol).

Stop messaging him - if it is important to him, regardless of the work hours, he will make an effort.

If he doesn't message you he isn't that interested and you've already made the steps towards finding someone else, if he does then it is just a busy time.

Also, if he is a first year analyst, it isn't crazy to think that maybe he is just adjusting to the work load, night-life with the other analysts on the rare night out, etc.

Sounds he's like just trying to ghost in a slightly nicer way. If he doesn't make the effort soon, no point in pursuing it further.

I recently relocated to nyc from another country and have changed roles too. It has been stressful to adjust to new role, and all the other things that come with relocating. From my experience, if there is a lady I’m not interested in ghosting is pretty easy. When I do like the lady I will find a couple minutes in my day to chat to her.

It could be fair to say that he is extremely busy at work and adjusting to life as an analyst, but it really wouldn’t hurt him to take a few minutes out of day to actually respond. My 2c.
