Dedicated politics forum?

While scrolling through the off topic forum, I really enjoy reading the random thoughts of other people regarding non IB activities. However, every few weeks there are political events and subsequent discussions that dominate the off topic forum. Would there be a way to create a separate forum for political discussion? I do recognize the importance of politics and regulations within the scope of finance, however, the off topic forum is better utilized for discussions on hobbies, music, sports, etc. as a way to take a break from work and politics. Anyone have any thoughts?

Among all the forums and discord channels I use, this is the only place that allows politics. I understand there are a lot of people here who want to discuss these topics, but there is also a lot of name-calling and aggression on WSO. Because of the political nature of various discussions I think the quality of the WSO is now lower. The objective of this forum was initially career planning, finance/IBD and a support system for people that is otherwise not existent. And I don't really enjoy scrolling through a ton of material that is off-putting or attacking other users on here (not taking any sides).

A dedicated politics section would be good, as long as it doesn't show up in the new post feed.
