This strikes me as a probably not kind of deal. It would be very unusual for an offer letter to be longer than two pages, so there isn’t much room to hide. The key terms should be fairly visible and in line with what you’ve discussed. If it’s not, you can ask about it or take people to task. But if someone can’t keep up with a boilerplate 1-2 page offer letter, then IB and PE really aren’t the right job (NDA redlining, SPAs, leases, etc.). I doubt it.
