You should aim for the summer analyst role http://tobinandco.com/</a">here. Tobin & Co. is the holy grail when it comes to feeder programs for top PE firms straight out of undergrad. If you do your summer internships there every summer you'll maximize your chances!
Learn about DCFs and LBOs, then go to OCR events. This should prep you for success right out of the gate.
