Easy solution if you have access to the vaccine, which most people on this forum do, and you aren’t otherwise unable to get the vaccine, get vaccinated.

The lowest estimates of the Pfizer vaccine’s efficacy against delta is 80%, with higher estimates showing 96% efficacy. Moderna was around 75%. Data sourced from multiple studies in well-respected medical journals.

Research also indicates that people with antibodies obtained through recovery from infection of the alpha variant are less protected against delta than other strands. Just get vaccinated. I’m done watching my PA get clapped and I don’t want to have to go back to wearing masks everywhere and having a god damn curfew. We’re so close to the finish line. Just. Get. Vaccinated (if you’re able to).

Controversial

Oh!  The "scary" DELTA variant!

Data-Driven Fact:  More people died in the UK from the "Delta" variant who were VACCINATED than non-vax.

Data-Driven Fact:  Delta Variant makes up 60% of the cases right now in my state.  1 person dead.  75% of total deaths are above age 70.

Data-Driven Fact:  Delta Variant is less deadly than the other variants.  It is more contagious.

Data-Driven Fact:  The current group of vaccinated still have to wear masks, get booster shots and get sick from COVID.  Therefore it is more like Tamiflu than a vaccine.

No thank you.  This cowboy is going to wait until a REAL vaccine shows up...

(and as a side note for you coming downvoters, one is coming soon using technology and delivery systems that have 20+ years of data and is used in CURRENT MMR / Flu vaccines, uses an adjuvant of tree bark instead of Graphene and uses parts of an ACTUAL virus)

Go Novavax!

only betas would be afraid of a delta

greek alphabetical jokes aside, what the fuck ever. get your shot, or don't, I don't care. wear a mask, or don't, I don't care. but whatever you do, don't be the guy who pretends to be an epidemiologist/virologist during normal conversation, just because you've read a few dozen articles plus got a B+ in high school chemistry doesn't make you qualified

You are never going to get your freedoms back.

Generation of spineless cowards+media addicted to scaremongering+sociopathic elite that wants to reduce human activity to fight climate change. They said it's the new normal. Get used to it.

From what I'm seeing in France/Uk/Ita, it seems that the new game is: overburden people with bureacratic hurdles so that they'd rather stay at home. This is especially true when it comes to travelling. They basically don't want the Western middle class or lower to ''fly too much'' anymore. Only for the elites. What is interesting and yet utterly despicable is that we are at the end of the ''the freer the market, the freer the people'' paradigm. The ones pushing hard for the limitation of personal freedoms are big corporations. Their business is negatively impacted to the minimum and they can afford the staff for the extra bullshit check. For the individual however, it's crippling time. Restaurants, movies, gyms, fucking walking in a park has become a privilege and nobody is doing anything. We are all ''paid enough'' to accept our own liberticide. Only a handful of French seem to be willing to riot, however they don't seem to be ready to go all the way and that's why they will lose.
