Do you bank personally with your place of work?

Idk, call me naive but I’ve always thought of it like a loyalty thing haha

If your institution has a personal banking arm I would personally feel a little weird to work there and have my paychecks paid out to another bank.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, this is a common sentiment among professionals in the finance industry. Many employees do choose to bank with their employer if the institution has a personal banking arm. It can feel like a loyalty move, and in some cases, there are perks or benefits for employees who do so, such as reduced fees, better interest rates, or exclusive services.

However, it's not uncommon for people to bank elsewhere for various reasons, such as better offerings from competitors, privacy concerns, or simply having an established relationship with another bank before joining their current employer. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and what makes the most financial sense for the individual.
