Do you ever get tired??!

I know this industry is really intense and you got to be motivated (by money, by curiousity, whatever it's fine) to really get up and get going every single day. I'm enjoying it now and I see myself having that drive long-term, but every now and then I look at all the discussions on how's this and that performing, am i screwed, networking here job offer there, my bank is better than your bank... have you ever registered the stress this industry brings for that split second wanting to try getting the f out and shutdown aSAP from this adrenaline bullcrap... only to realise nope i need the money and return to work the next day??!!?!!??!!

No, I do not. I am a vampire. I think one of my analysts figured it out - I’m trying to pass it off as just a coke habit and not a lot of sun. No one believes in vampires anyway - I think I’m good.

It's the same as social media - people only posts their best. Everyone goes through peaks and valleys. This holds true for job performance, bonuses, motivation, etc. That's just part of being human.

Like right now, I'm staring at a schedule of Daily To-Do items that I wrote on an index card to give myself some sense of schedule during this WFH stuff. It has things like clear email requests, check team progress, 10-15 min of yoga; stupid shit like that. Honestly, I haven't followed that schedule once. Shit's weird right now, it's ok to not be your most productive.

Sounds like you need some espresso and a good 325mg preworkout

Also, take rest breaks if you have 10 sec. Close your eyes and slowly count to ten. Every little bit helps. You can ditch being tired if you provide your body and mind with rest moments during the day.
