Do you guys eat snacks in the middle of the workday?
Anyone here like to consume any snacks in the middle of the workday?
I usually get more hungry when I am stressed so I often pack myself some cookies or a bag of chips. Wondering if anyone has any good midday snack recs
I try to avoid stress eating/ at work so i don’t get fat. Usually just chew on some gum and drink a some water and that works. If it doesn’t, I’ll go for a protein bar, banana, or Oikos triple 0 yogurt cup instead. Would recommend instead of chips
I keep some entenmanns cookies, cheetos, milanos, pretzels and chexmix in my cubicle drawers and usually eat something in our office pantry in the middle of the day
I often eat snacks but healthy ones such as skyr, banana, almonds, or some protein bars. But stress has a different impact - I tend to eat less. In fact I lost 3-4kg during my internship
Fruits with high fiber, nuts, plain Joghurt and cereal (not sugared, but whole). Weak spot: dried fruits (pineapple or mango rings, etc.
Water or green tea is a good decoy for hunger.
Try to steer clear of chips, cookies, choc
dried fruit is a killer in disguise. 4 pieces of dried mango is already 120 calories ffs lmao
Fruit, nuts, jerky, occasional protein bar
No snacks. First meal at noon, second meal is dinner. No carbs at all until the weekend.
Yes
I love eating snacks during the workday. I am 270 pounds
I have a tech VP coworker who has a snack drawer in his office. He is also 280 pounds. Looks like a kernel dev
I think what I'm getting at is you should probably not eat snacks during the workday
Can never go wrong with a midday zynbabwe
Trail mix is pretty healthy.
An espresso when I want a snack <2pm. After 2pm I'll do a scotch with ice or bourbon with ice
In office or when you work remote?
I haven’t been into my office in a few weeks. When I do go, I always eat all the random snacks in our kitchen. Wfh I’ll just lay on my floor whenever I get hungry (might sound weird but it gets my mind off food and lets my body stretch out)
Interesting technique...never heard of it.
How long do you stay on the floor, when the hunger/craving kicks-in and how long does the effect lasts?
I do breakfast and lunch (main meal of the day). Try to skip dinner or eat something light. It is harder to maintain, when on the road (dinner with startups, Co-Investors) or working late.
The head cow is always grazing.
Yes, I’d say I’m eating pretty much all day. My caloric intake is probably way different than most, I’m a 22 year old 6’3 male clocking in at 170lbs. If I’m not either snacking or full on eating I can’t concentrate because I’ll be hungry.
I've started eating less snacks. I bring an apple every day, and a bag of popcorn, but thats about it. Much healthier
These tuna snacks are pretty handy.
