Do you have a type ?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have dated - both long-term and casually women of all races except Native American (never met one unfortunately). Black, White, Asian, Indian, Latina.

I’ll say that the most important thing ended up being - 1) Value System alignment, 2) Life style compatibility, and 3) Never-ending exploration (of each other and of the world together).

You’ll find that only some of it is really based on race or culture but mostly personality and the person’s life experiences. Culture and race are typically good indicators that life experience of course but not always.

You’ll find that value system alignment is not just cultural but also based on personality. To add on, many cultures share similar attributes so if you like the person then you can find many compatibilities. For example, I come from a cultural that’s fairly introverted and dating Swedish women felt pretty comfortable. On other values, I very much prefer direct communication and open-mindedness so Swedes, urban Dutch, and West German and Berliner girls (Bavarian and Austrian girls not so much) I really felt comfortable being around. Also some Chinese girls who moved over to the US and culturally half-assimilated tend to be direct and open-minded.

However, even amongst the same race, I actually didn’t enjoy dating some white American and Asian-American women (especially on the coasts) because of how difficult communication is. As a proud American I decry what victim mentality has done to our women. They’re not cool anymore… (quick rant here: I thought modern women are supposed to live an independent lifestyle and don’t require a man to do so, they chose their man. Instead many modern American women have this weird notion of needing a man to feel superior over them or needing a man for validation that they’re somehow cool and modern feminists… No thanks I’ll stick to my Northwestern European and Nordic women who understand what real gender equality means…).

I do find that typically that for Latina and Indian women, their cultural heritage is such a big part of who they are so that could easily mean some incompatibilities.
 

But overall, I do tend to get along best with women who primarily identify with their vocations, way of living , their dreams and ambitions and have their cultural and racial backgrounds as merely backgrounds (icing on the cake of you will) because our value systems and life styles are often compatible. And if you come from different backgrounds (culturally, professionally, etc…) have differing interests then there’s so much you can explore of each other.

In hindsight, I think some common attributes amongst women I liked (not that I was searching for them, just kinda happened) were 1) they all came from to affluent to wealthy backgrounds, 2) had lots of international exposure as kids, 3) ambitious, 4) not afraid to speak their minds and communicates directly when they need to (maybe a bit too much lol), 5) 0 tolerance for BS, 6) physically active/athletic, and 7) just really cool.

You can say anything (inappropriate to appropriate) to them and they’ll figure out a way to spin it off in a fun way and they expect the same for you.
