It's a small effort that goes a long way. I live in the UK with a 10p bag tax (not big at all, I certainly don't do it for the money) which incentivises people to reduce plastic waste. Between 2014 (tax introduction) and 2017 the number of disposable plastic bags used in the UK dropped by 6 billion. Not a small number. Am I an environmental SJW? No, but I don't like waste and trash. Hence why I bring my own. Bear in mind, I do one large food shopping a week so it's really no hassle.
whole foods - paper bags, i recycle them afterwards
