Dude, no, and this is coming from a guy who hits the gym twice daily (AM cardio + PM weights) A putter in the office is a group decision.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Serious question, how do you have the energy to workout twice a day? For me a quick 10 min power nap and some pre workout helps, but honestly I’m beat after a long day

Honestly? the routine helps, the short commute helps (30 min door to door when I'm not WFH, and yes that's from Jersey) Also, the total time isn't that bad with an in-building gym.  the morning 5k is a bit over 25 minutes, let's call it 30 counting going downstairs and heading back up.  Evening weights are maybe 40-50 depending on what I'm doing. I also never have to deal with waiting for machines by going at 6am and 10pm.  I still skip about 4 sessions a week.

That’s actually not a bad idea. I just need something simple mid day to get the blood flowing

Anyone have an office with a gym downstairs? That would be the ultimate scenario for me

I’ve worked at an office with a gym and showers and a locker room. I used it sometimes. 12pm - 1pm workouts were acceptable. Actually, if you didn’t have any projects due or meetings, it was fine to go to the gym at any time during the day.

When I was in an office like that a few of us naturally just started showing up about an hour early to workout downstairs and then clean up and head up to the office. One of the best non-monetary perks ever.

Agree with everyone else that dumbbells are a bridge too far. Resistance bands should be fine, just don't do any exercises where you're attaching them to anything.

Also, it's totally fine in most groups to go work out during lunch, either downstairs or find something within a few blocks.
