Euivalent of non-competes for customers?
Is this stupid or what
I Patrick pays me to find writers to write content for WSO. I get paid per the article and I pay the article writer. I'm the middle man, so screw me. Patrick can reach out to the Borrower and set up an agreement with them cutting me out.
So, I decide I'll only offer Patrick my services, but I'll include in a contract a clause of some sort (would seek a lawyer in a realistic scenario) that prohibits patrick from working directly with one of my writers for a period 6-12 months, unless I am compensated in some way.
Now that I think about it, it might be similar to what staffing agencies do... I'll go research that.
This is a hypothetical scenario to exemplify the middle person dilemma.
