Thoroughly deserved win for Italy. I'd say they were clearly the best team in the tournament. Excelled in the group stage, beat the #1 squad in the world, overcame a young, talented Spanish side on penalties, all while showing great team spirit for the past month.

When the British took penalties it was more or less silence from the Italians.
When the Italians took penalties the British booed extremely loudly.
They have no respect whatsoever and would rub it in everyone else's face if the won.

English fans really have no class. Booing during both the Italian and Danish National Anthems, booing every time Italy got the ball and throughout the Denmark game. Treats their players like Gods for winning the semi-final and then berates them with racist abuse for losing the final. Even the whole laser at the Danish goalkeeper. A constant barrage of "It's coming home" shit even before the final was played. And let's not kid ourselves, they played like shit in the last two games. They beat Denmark because of an unlucky own goal and because Kane was lucky enough to get a penalty rebound. Not high class players. It's not coming home (and won't be for a while) because England has this toxic mentality of being superior with nothing to back it. For a team that makes it to the final of a major tournament after so many years I would have expected composure, humility and a true hunger to win. Not showboating and arrogance to leads to them "going home" with their dicks in their hands. Having Boris Johnson saying "English fans should be ashamed of their behaviour" or fining the FA does fuck all. Ban English fans from attending international games such as the World Cup qualifiers or the World Cup games themselves. That'll change their behaviour. And if they still insist on being hooligans in their tiny fucking island then let them, it won't contaminate the rest of the world.

An awesome highlight of the Italy v Spain semi was whenever the Italian and Spanish fans were cheering back and forth, and the English would start singing "iTs CoMiNg HoMe" and both sides would boo them

England started in an awasome pace. I thought game will end 2-0. Then, slowly Italy gained momentum. Both goalkeepers were world class. England could only win if they were able to breach the Italian defense. But it didnt happen. In penalties, it was experience of Italy which won. The substitutes of England were not successful.
But in any case, both of them were strong teams, they game had equal sides. Blaming a 19 years old player for not scoring a penalty in front of the whole Wembley feels wrong. English team deserves a praise.
Interesting to mention that in Euro 2016, in Euro 2020 (2021), and in this year's Copa America hosts lost in the final game.

It always happens, where the host club or nation will make it to the final game and then lose. I honestly think the pressure in that final game becomes too much for the players to overcome in the final. People think itโs a benefit to be able to play at home for a final but I actually think it ends up working against you.
