This is coming from a male perspective (not trying to be intrusive) just trying to educate myself and my thoughts. I'm at the age where women I went to school with/know are beginning to post online about freezing their eggs. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this process or done work in this area and have any insight. Specifically:
1. Has anyone here or does anyone know anyone who has frozen their eggs? If so, do they know if they actually went back and used them? Or, if you do work in the space, what is the % of people actually do this, does it work, and what's the actual timeframe of an average egg freezer (if that terms correct). Is it a monthly fee?
2. I haven't discuss this idea with anyone fully, so as an anecdote, it seems that the people who are doing this haven't really done much dating in the past (from people I know) or are very picky when they date (people I've dated). So I guess I'm asking, does it lean toward a scam? Would it be that way if the conversation rate is low? Or is it used by people not in relationships to give themselves hope?
3. Freezing your eggs is somewhat new, most likely from having the technology to do it. Do you think its more from woman trying to be more established or set up before they start a family? Is it a problem in general if woman have children at a later age?
