There's no way that's gonna be looked upon favorably.

Really poor timing on your part, if it's some sort of family thing, plan on missing it.

"You stop being an asshole when it sucks to be you." -IlliniProgrammer "Your grammar made me wish I'd been aborted." -happypantsmcgee

There are few methods more effective at drawing the scorn of your colleagues than this. Terrible idea.

Our view:

"You can't hold out for 10 to 12 weeks to show us how badly you want the offer? Thousands of other kids would kill for your opportunity."

A girl who summered in our group broke down in tears because she had not seen her boyfriend of four months in over a month. Pathetic.

Well it is my sophomore year if that makes the situation better. I'm not looking for a FT offer and due to getting screwed over on transfer credits I'm probably going to be a 5th year senior. Plus I go to school in NYC, so getting an internship during the school year shouldn't be much of a problem. I'm just looking for another stat on my resume at this point.

Worst case scenario, I only lose $200 if I decide not to go, so it's not a big deal.

Competition is a sin. -John D. Rockefeller

I have a problem, I will do a summer internship in M&A this summer in London and my school needs me in France for graduation exams during 4 days!!! I sent a lot of emails to them but they do no want to make any adjustement for me. Do you think it is acceptable to ask for a week off for this reason? If I do not have the exam I do not get my diploma...
