Have to laugh at goober middle managers trying to be intimidating.

We've all screwed up at one point or another, sometimes not even a screw up - just been given unachievable deadlines for instance, where some degree of failure was inevitable. Some managers are completely reasonable, others seem to want to "tell you off" in some way.

I remember when I was back at school, I was such an easily frightened child. An adult could raise their voice even slightly and I'd get mildly upset. I really feel for people who are still this way as adults.

I grew out of that demeanor eventually, to the point where I struggle to even feign concern when being "told off" at this point. It's just so laughable, some out of shape goober who's haircut doesn't match his/her chubby face with a voice higher than mine trying to scold me in some way as some sad attempt at a power trip. Listen pal, the problem is going to take all of 5 minutes to fix so stop getting your panties in a twist, politely ask me to be careful in future, I'll apologize and amend the document. No one gives a shit.
