Help needed: compliance mistake
In a bit of a panic mode here, but accidentally sent an email to my boss from my personal email. Nothing sensitive, just telling them I had to get back to them on something tomorrow because I couldn't access my work email (no VPN etc.).
Edit: Thanks all, case closed.
Send him multiple new emails from your professional address
You need to chill, this isn’t a big deal at all

Relax. As everyone said below that as long as you didn't have any attachments you will be fine. Also, we are in unprecedented times right now. The amount of slack that is going to be given for this sort of thing is unheard of.
Honestly pretty embarrassing the complete lack of awareness that you're displaying by posting this to a thread.
Just don’t attach any work related files or discuss trades or anything. Sending an email saying you can’t access your work email is perfectly ok and won’t get flagged
Thanks for the reassurance.
Dont worry. Compliance won't even notice, let alone care.
if we couldn't care after reading the problem, i don't think compliance will either
Relax. You’re over reacting bro
your only worry is HR. those Karens are overreacting more than usual these days to stay relevant
It would only matters at HSBC as far as my experience with several friends at different IBs.
Unless you are lucky to get randomly selected for internal audit or you included anything sensitive.
whats an internal audit?
You're overreacting -- this kind of stuff is fine once in a while. Just don't make it a habit.
