Hero of the Financial Crisis? - Who is it?
Lloyd was cast as the Dr. Evil of Wall Street.
Mack came out of it giving canned (and infinitely entertaining) speeches.
Thain came out of it as the 4th largest shareholder of Bank of America (not bad for a couple month's work).
Paulson saved a hundred million in taxes, ran the show and then quit.
Bernanke tried to keep us from going South of the Border.
Geithner got a promotion.
Fuld got screwed. twice.
Goldman got portrayed as the Death Star of the financial industry.
J.P. Morgan started seeming best-of-breed.
Dimon made nice with the President (and some sweet, sweet TARP funds).
Of course, there are many, many more players with equally interesting stories. But who should be hailed as the Hero of the Financial Crisis?
BlackRock, Fink
Ken Lewis went from banker of the year in 2009, to canned and facing criminal charges in 2010.

There you go. Our saviours.
do you mean jeff mackey?
Lloyd Blankfein, because we 're talking about GS...
kyle bass erhem i mean boss
Dr. Michael Burry or Steve Eisman. The actual smartest guys in the room.
Remy, the guy who raps about the debt ceiling. This guy spits fire
No hero will ever come out of the risis because of the recession after. Even if people took steps to mitigate disaster and/or saved the US from annihilation they will never be that famous because America was still hurt.
Agree with this.
TheKing - Those guys are def smart but didn't contribute much to be deemed heroes. I really think Hank Paulson did a tremendous job in getting the dumbass politicians in gear to do what was needed. Paulson was under loads of stress and handled it all like a champ.
You would say that Bernank.
Nassim and others were warning about things for years, but they at least made money and have more people listening now.
