Hey Everyone - Very interested in finance

I signed up for this site after reading a few of the threads for a few months. A lot of you guys and gals seem very intelligent. I am looking to make some new friends and contacts.

Brief about me: I am very interested in the finance, but I won't be going down that path. I am heading toward medicine, instead, because of some mental problems that put downward pressure on my grades in high school and the first few years of undergrad. I also like medicine really well, so it's by no means a "consolation prize." I am just being realistic with my options.

I love New York City and am a fan of Michael Bloomberg. I live in a part of the U.S. that isn't fond of the city nor him (Appalachia).

If you have any questions, I'm game. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Have a good one!

TTG413Tip #1: Don't be a fan of Michael Bloomberg

Ok, kiddo.

OP - this is a lesson in ignoring most unsolicited tips.

What kind of weirdo goes out of his way to state his love for Bloomberg?

AxionJaxionMeh, he's a hot topic right now. Thought it might give some insight to my political leanings.
You mean republican turned democrat who'll be republican again in a few years?
