I think hong kongers are moving to UK because of their history and the fact that UK offered BNO passport holders (hkers born before 1997 should have this if i'm not mistaken) the right to stay in UK and gain citizenship under the BNO visa

Basically it's super easy for hkers to immigrate to uk with this scheme lmao

As for the city's status as a financial hub idk ( @earthwalker7 could chime in ) but I'd argue that Shanghai would take over HK's position and their dealflow rather than SG since SG serves SEA region

UK has always been an attractive place for finance even before this tho lol
