How can I curb my sudden urge to have a baby?
I'm 24 and not even dating anyone right now but can't stop thinking about this. Realistically, I don't want kids anytime soon. But emotionally, I feel myself starting to get a little baby crazy, and it's kind of freaking me out. It's been on my mind a lot lately. The thing is, I don't think I actually want a baby, I just like the idea of making another human being and sharing a child with a girl I’m in love with when the time comes.
I'd never thought that I would get this way--I'm still very much focused on my career and friends, etc. and am not at the point in my life whatsoever to start having kids. What's the deal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Every time I have a call with a late 20s/early 30s VP or Director when they are WFH and I can hear their crying baby at 1am....it makes me want to delay that family stuff till I am senior enough to control my hours.
I got 1 that you can borrow for a few hours. Should remove the idea right out of your head.

I know that and I can’t wait to meet the right one, but there’s this strong desire to just have a family that gets me all excited
Maybe volunteer at a nursery or something? You can still impact baby’s lives even if you’re single.
