Bar/Club in midtown at a friend's 21's birthday. (Let's not go into further detail) They had rather good prices for bottle service. Smirnoff was only like a 600% markup once you figure in all the accoutrements. I got buzzed, we danced exchanged numbers etc. I took home a Cooper Union guy that night. 10/10, amazing abs. Only guy I ever slept with from the engineering school. Strongly recommend over NYU, where everybody's self centered, nevermind FIT or AMDA where you're just asking for a train-wreck.
Long story short, we kept talking for the next three months then started dating while the cooper union kid just ended up being a one night fling.

It was at a big party (well over 100 people, probably closer to 200 people) at a large estate. Imagine something like The Great Gatsby minus the black tie and you have the right idea.
I was at the party with a few friends just to hang out / not expecting anything in particular. My SO had come to the party as the date/plus-one of another guy.
For almost the entire evening I was just sitting down in the bar/lounge area relaxing with the boys.
At some point, SO noticed me and apparently kept stealing glances at me. One of my friends told me that a girl was checking me out. I looked in her direction and we made eye contact. She proceeded to make a beeline towards me, plopped herself right on the seat next to me and started chatting me up very bubbly/flirty while acting as if her date didn't exist for the rest of the evening.
The rest is history.
