How do you stay positive in the current state of shit?

I want to preface this with I understand that all the problems and unfortunate events this pandemic has caused me are miniscule compared to those faced by many others, but I need to vent/ hear from you guys and how you're getting on.

I can't seem to escape the anger that overcomes me at least once a day when I reflect upon what is going on in the world. There are countless opportunities or events that have vanished from my life in the blink of an eye (almost all of which will never return). As a young male in his twenties, I  can't help but feel that the most fun/ care-free time of my life is being wasted away in lockdown. At first it was "this should only last a few weeks." Then it was "Please, just hold on for a few more weeks! You're saving lives by staying in." Followed by, "We expect the winter could bring along a second wave, remember to social distance and wear your masks!"

And here we are (where we appear to finally have several effective vaccines), yet healthy people won't have widespread access until Q2/Q3. What are we to do? Are we really to social distance and live an unfulfilled life for another 6-9 months?????

We've sacrificed so much and yet cases are sky rocketing. We can't see our family. We can't see our friends. We can't live as Americans. How have we all accepted this rampant violation of our rights as American citizens.

I've lost all patience with any sort of cooperation with bureaucrats telling me how I need to live. It's called personal responsibility. If you or a family member are at risk, then protect yourself and them. But your problem isn't my problem.

Just let me live my life. Do me a favor in the meantime? Fuck off and mind your own business.
