How much do bankers in their 20s (Analyst, Associate, Pre-MBA bankers) actually take home?
I've heard of analysts having 160-200k total comp at BBs, and Associates having 250-350k total comp. However, how does that actually translate to take home pay? Specifically in nyc as well. Is it reasonable to say that analysts at bbs in nyc take home around 10-11k a month? And associates (24-27 years old ish) to take home 14-16k a month?
Generally post tax 6k-7k per month as an analyst from base, bonus seriously depends on firm as you can see on this forum
Wow, that's a lot lower than I expected. Is that normal amongst NYC bankers these days?
