How Prestigious of a Career is Being a Federal Judge

Been thinking of making the switch from the 2+2 MBA path to possibly pursuing law school and ideally eventually being a district judge (big dreams). How prestigious of a career is this? Obviously it's less money than Wall Street but you have legitimate power over people's lives and society.

If your decision making ability has led you to literally choose a career based off how prestigious other 20 year olds on an online forum say a job is, I don’t want you anywhere near our judicial system.

Global buyer of highly distressed industrial companies. Pays Finder Fees Criteria = $50 - $500M revenues. Highly distressed industrial. Limited Reps and Warranties. Can close in 1-2 weeks.

I mean, its pretty damn prestigious but there's a difference between a position and a career. Its like a someone who's considering IB asking "how prestigious of a career is being a bank CEO?"

Federal judges are appointed by the president. There is no path to that job and if you're lucky enough to get it, its after 2 decades of work. So decide if you want to be a lawyer, not a federal judge.
