Playing computer games in my teenage years made me a master typist. Geeky but true.
Now its like 110-120ish.
Get a typing tutorial. You'll see results VERY quickly. Practice.
Same with speed reading. There are numerous programs and while I haven't used one yet, it's on the docket for next year. Again, practice, practice, practice.
These are learnable skills, and if you can integrate them with something you enjoy doing (gaming, typing wordy WSO posts, reading stuff you actually enjoy, etc) then you'll progress faster. The more you practice, the better you'll get. That's really all there is to it.

My sophomore year of high school I used to play world of Warcraft for 13+ hours a day. Don't remember a thing, but I type and read amazingly fast and I have the endurance to run on very little sleep. I guess it was a pretty good investment
I think I can type 100-130 wpm? Last time I tested
Played RuneScape for hours each day and eventually came out a typist God.

Do all of yall follow the ASDF JKL: hand position? A friend of mine (he is really fast from club penguin, those were the days) only uses his pointer fingers. It works for him.
MMOs (Everquest) did it for me too. Having to type coherent sentences in between casting spells made me real fast. Nowadays I think they pretty much all use voicechat.
