I read the news, take care of admin work, watch sports/bet, roam WSO or fight people on Twitter etc.

Use the time to catch up on things that are low priority. This means anything from organizing your inbox to get it clean to handling admin work to making sure that you've covered everything that has needed to get done since Jan. Might as well use the time to make sure your desk is 100% clear.

Usually go on this... after work, I never check WSO after leaving. I would like to try to learn a new skill so I expand my knowledge in programming or whatever it is but it's hard to focus when you're working.

Bring a flat screen into the office and just watch TV (or a gaming console if you are into video games).
Read news not work related (eg sport, random stuff), WSO, learning new things like reading scientific magazines, watch sport highlights, new car release, going for a stroll around the trading floor, go out for a coffee or two, table football with colleagues
