because national banks and commodities cant go to price = zero. China is about to blow, I'm insanely bearish on 2013, but as an arbitrageur, I don't earn my crust taking a view on a direction, i just play it when it does move. I see the data and it all points one way, south.
but to answer your question, to buy large stakes in companies, they need to abide by SEC rules, so what would happen is they'd need to be more transparent. because that's gonna happen.
