Incoming college freshman/ college students

Hey everyone. As a student from a non-targets, I definitely didn’t do the stuff I was supposed to do in high school to get into target because I came from such a small school and I had no idea where to look for opportunities . What’d you guys do during your high school to get you into target schools/ semi target schools?

Focus on a story for your applications. The good grades and test scores are almost like a barrier to entry. The most important thing next are ECs and especially ones that signal your interest in business/finance (think summer internships in hs, entrepreneurship, getting any business experience, finance clubs) besides that have other strong supporting ECs like cultural clubs, sports, and academic/newspaper. Lastly focus on essays and recommendations. The rest is out of your control. And remember to tie your whole application into a story of a smart, successful, multi-talented leader who did some impressive things and is able to express himself well.
