Interesting vs. Exciting
Currently a student in college and I am struggling trying to decide which career to pursue, asset management or real estate. While I have always been fascinated by cool real estate projects, especially hotels, and I think I could make a great career out of real estate as I enjoy the social, physical and quantitative aspects, I cannot fully commit. I am hung up on asset management as I think I’d find the macroeconomic and business specific analysis interesting. My question is should I pursue the field which I find potentially more exciting and one I’ve been passionate about for longer or one that I just find interesting. For reference, I’ve done some investing on my own but don’t consider myself but any means and investing aficionado.
