Intern Uber to NJ?

Do firms allow interns to take Ubers back home to New Jersey? Is it common or taboo if I have to cross the tunnel?

I'm from Newark and would rather save money (chill sophomore summer gig, no return offer expectation). Planning on living in NYC next summer for IB.

Doesn't matter, go home. Some intern died last year because they were being cheap with late night transport. Fell in the subway tracks at 3am, instantly killed. Tips are included in Uber price within NYC, so don't leave one and you'll have that extra $20 for the tolls.
