Internship in NYC

Hello everyone,

Summer is coming quickly and I need help. So, I'll be interning with Citi in NY this summer. What should I expect as far as workload and day-to-day tasks from experience? I'm also relocating from Chicago, can anyone tell me what it's like finding summer housing in NYC? Are there any known apartments or hotels I should look into? I think I'd prefer to live alone but, I don't want to pay any more than $2500. I would like to live in the Financial District because it's closer to the firm. Thanks for the help, I need it.

you want to pay 2.5k in housing for your summer internship? that's nuts. With covid you can find a good deal under 1.5k as well (no studio, but own room in an apartment in a nice neighbourhood). Save some money rather than spending 2.5k on housing. Find housing ~1 prior to your internship or 1.5mo if you're a bit uncertain. Fidi is a dead place, I wouldn't recommend living there. Of course covid has made the whole place dead, but I think you can find better deals around NYU. Commute to fidi would be max 15-20 mins from there. Citi's office is maybe 15 mins by subway from east / west village.
