I have never heard of a straight investment banker (not CEO or member of management committee) making more than 20 million. I know Gary Parr had 4 year 36 million dollar contract (9 mill a year).

Your bonus is based on business you bring to your desk/department, not because you look good in a suit. You say that now, but if you ever happen to be up for a 5-6M bonus after taxes, I highly doubt you will wire 5M back to the bank.
