There's virtually no reason people who voted Trump should accept that the election is decided by the media oligarchy. A system of oppression is being created by liberals that will now rig every election the same way and have their own media declare the winner, suppressing any hint of voter fraud. Agree but w/ social media this current trend isn’t going anywhere and may accelerate. Politicians (and more importantly, political movements and for-profit media) can directly tap into people’s emotions for political and monetary gain. Even in the instances where they are not telling them exactly what to think but they are giving them a pretty strong nudge that is irresistible to most. 
 

So, the end result is that any media that has a profit incentive (which is almost all of it) will be hyper politicized for the foreseeable future as people will consume it most intensely and thus most lucratively.
 

This system is self-strengthening as well: if anyone were to criticize it they themselves would become its target, eg if you claim that rap about politics is boring your so-called privilege would then become the target of the aforementioned system, injecting additional animosity into the system in the same way the Fed injects liquidity.
