Jury duty

Has anyone been through jury duty while working in banking? I got called to serve on a grand jury in January. It’s my first time and I don’t really know what to expect. I plan on notifying my team shortly, but was wondering if anyone here has made it past jury selection and actually served for a few weeks, and how they navigated that with such a demanding job.

I'm pretty sure it's for this very reason that the prosecutors don't want to give him a deal. Either way, he's getting life without parole. If I were in a prominent position in the healthcare industry, I'd prefer he take a deal so he isn't given the chance to testify and shed light on how much of a racket healthcare is.

He may not get life without parole. The federal charges mean the death penalty is also on the table.

I was selected for Jury Duty in NYC and was out of town and just filled in some online form and said I wasn’t able to make it and didn’t get in trouble or anything - never heard from them again.

Maybe if you feel it is your civic duty to go, then go, otherwise I think you could try to make up some excuse.
