Korean in the US
Hi, I'm a Korean highschool senior, and going to the states this January to University of Wisconsin. I'm worried about discrimination towards asians and narrow opportunities of working there(even intern jobs). How do you guys think? Is the discrimination rampant all over the states? and how about in Bank area?
You will have absolutely no problem
There are plenty of Asian bankers
It will be a huge grind for the next 2 years or so with accelerated recruitment especially if you need sponsorship. While it is true that there are plenty of Asian bankers, there are a tons of asian dudes that wants to break into banking (that's true for all races). Not sure if Wisconsin is a semi-target but it will probably help you if you transfer out to a target.
