I wish someone told me this before all the hard work i pulled into it.
I mean, if the website didnt want me to send the CV books THEN they should have said something before i spent all that time in sending them just for some silver bananas. they do have moderators, who could have said so at the very beginning. I am not mad, but i dont see the point of removing the silver bananas.
The ironic thing is that i got the CV books like 2 years ago from an WSO user and didnt know that you were not allowed to share it.

technically, you still have your silver bananas (look at your profile page), but you were removed from the Silver Banana leaderboard because you were using content you don't own to artificially inflate / bribe for them.
The point of the Silver Bananas is to give them to users that provide meaningful contributions in the forums, not to users giving away something for free they don't own.

Abuse of the system...Sometimes forum trinkets like post count or "silver bananas" can have a negative effect on the community because sometimes newer members automatically think that that correlates to a higher status. Lurkers will usually find that substantive posters are held to a much higher status regardless of the numbers of their post count or bananas awarded.
Advice: Use post count and "silver bananas" with discretion.
Actually, while I agree the general Banana Points can be misleading, Silver Bananas have proven to identify some of our best users. If you look at the Silver Banana Leaderboard in the right column (down the page), it is filled with the users that provide consistently the best advice.
This one case was an exception and was dealt with promptly.

god! why all the hating! when people where begging for the CV books no one jumped and said in the thread, hey, it is not fair to do this, or anything. The reason i asked for the silver bananas was to make it fun, but the main point was about distributing the cv books THAT EVERYONE BEGGED to get. and bombarded me with PMs once they found out i got them.
and now that everyone got their lovely CV books i get this criticism, NOW i am mad about this whole thing. Taking the stupid silver bananas weas fair and all, but actually to try to make me look as the bad guy who is screwing the spirit of this website, well, the hell with everyone (except a few users)

....like what was said above, if you've been on here for 3 years you should have developed thick skin by now. I think we had one user leave (Tech Buyout) just because he got a few monkey shits thrown at him, even though he got a ton more silver bananas. If you want to leave because a couple of people called you out for doing something shady, then feel free -- but I think that would be a pretty significant overreaction.

We had a user a while back who was doing shady shit to get banana's. He lost them all also so it wasn't just you. There is no reason to leave the site, if you didn't want people to give you shit you should of just PM'd Patrick or someone and there could have been a simple discussion. Once you go public with things you should expect from flak.
I agree there should be a Delete Account function.
