Low Inventory on Street Easy for July 1st Move in?

Is anyone else experiencing really low inventory for a July 1st move in for NYC? Can't seem to find anything for a 3+ bedroom apartment. Is it still way too early to find something?

Welcome to NYC, apartment market is absolutely BRUTAL right now. Lowest inventory on record, and highest apartment prices in years and years too - far higher than pre-covid. Expect bidding wars (yes, on rentals, have seen some units rent for 30% over asking price)

If anyone in the analyst class above you has a realtor recommendation, they will see listings before they even hit streeteasy and potentially get you the first showing. Good apartments will not last beyond the very first open house. You'll more than likely be paying a full 15% brokers fee anyway, might as well get some use out of it by hiring a realtor.

It's about the time to start looking for July 1st, have seen some come and go already in the last two weeks.

Rooms go super quick. I was interested in one and apparently it rented within two days, didn’t even get a chance to talk to anyone lmao.
