Made to measure suits for wedding

Getting married next year and my plan is to get a suit made.  I'm leaning toward wearing a tuxedo or dinner jacket with tuxedo pants. I think made to measure is the way to go budget-wise, but I'm open to suggestions. Hoping to end up in the $1500-2500 range IF possible.


So far I'm not thrilled with the suitsupply shawl lapel style, although SS was my first thought.  Does anyone have experience with any tailors around SF/LA?  Or anywhere else I guess, as I travel every so often. Thanks in advance! 

 

My first question, is your body type irregular?  While everyone can use a tailor, if you have a more athletic body type or large type a tailor can do wonders.  IF you are a 42 regular, then you get get a high end tux off the rack and have it tailored. 

Armani tux is a great option, or versace, or another fashion brand. If you have to go made to measure the prices are usually around 600-1000, depending on the fabrics.

 

Good question, should have noted this in the post. I'm a 42 with 32 waist, have yet to find a jacket that comes even remotely close off the rack.  Weird fit that runs in the family.  Even with tailoring, I wind up with way too much material in the belly area.  Only so much you can do with the proportions of the jacket
