NJ Senator Lautenberg to Retire

From USA Today http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/02/14/frank-lautenberg…

Am I the only Democrat who doesn't care much for Cory Booker? He just seems like such a lightweight with a lot of hype. Then again we need someone to match Marco Rubio right?

He wishes he was Obama

NO. The dems already have 95% of the black vote and most of the latino vote, running a black guy as VP window dressing won't help capture the latino vote in 2016. Truthfully, I forsee a Christie/Rubio ticket winning no matter who the dems run. The ONLY thing that Obama has to do is reduce the debt, and in the off chance that happens then the dems stand a chance....but without that, they are definitely toast.

I'm 5 for 5 on federal elections, if you want to bet against this, I'll gladly take your money.

Booker "matches" Rubio in the young and hyped who wont be given time to gain some experience before being thrust into the Presidential pool

I agree though that Pres Obama is gonna screw the Democrats in 2016 He's not much of a team player so I doubt he cares. If the GOP forgives Christie for his moderation I could definitely see your scenario playing out.

And are you 5/5 just in November? Or did you get the ticket combinations right too?
