Off work with long covid - any movie suggestions

Any movies you have enjoyed recently - Hoping by asking the PE thread I’ll get something half worth watching. TIA

Edit: no finance movies, I must have watched every single one at least three times over . Yes even that wierd one with Danny Devito.

2nd edit: so sick of long covid, I’ve never wanted to create shareholder value more in my life.

What types of movies are you into? Very open ended question but I really enjoyed Sing Sing and A Real Pain. Particularly the former given its written by former inmates of the prison and many of the actors are real life inmates who eventually were released. A Real Pain is pretty funny (imagine two 20 year olds traveling internationally) but also very emotional too and has resonance (what is pain is the open ended question).

If you like spy movies with more of a “who done it” feel then Black Bag was p good. One of Soderbergh‘s better movies in a while. We Live in Time with Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh was great but it’s very emotional, particularly if you know anyone who’s dealt with illnesses.

Can also plug Anora as a really good movie / fun but I wasn’t the biggest fan (is it the best movie of 2024? Probably not but it’s still p good and especially on the low budget they made it on).

No problem. Also don’t know if you’ve seen The Apprentice with Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong as Trump and Roy Cohn but highly recommend. Would avoid it if you lean either way on the political spectrum but for a neutral look at Trump and also how he became who he is today + influence of Roy Cohn (who apart from the 1950s McCarthyism I didn’t know much about), it was pretty good.

Some other recent movies (over past few years) would include Zone of Interest, Killers of Flower Moon, and Poor Things. I also liked Air a lot with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon / Chris Tucker (basically how Nike rose to the top in basketball by signing Jordan).
