Profitable company, horrible offices, what gives?
I know this is silly, but it bugs me...
I've worked for small companies who didn't make money, and they all had small shitty offices in run-down buildings. Then I've worked for larger corporates who made good profits, and they all had nice comfortable offices with lots of perks, so I've come to assume this is correlated.
I've just started a new job, the company has always made good profits but the office building is horrible, it's honestly the biggest downside to the job since I'm leaving behind very comfortable surroundings. Is this a rarity or does it vary with industries, cities etc?
I think it varies by company. Some companies are able to post such a handsome profit because they are very frugal in their expenses, so they don’t invest in their employees or work experience.
No nice offices, no good perks, no partnerships, etc.
They do the bare minimum. This is common in public companies sometimes as their #1 responsibility is to maximize profit for shareholders, so they aren’t going to care as much on how the office looks, more on how productive it is
Ut facilis minima unde ea corporis autem. Mollitia officia voluptates impedit. Qui dolorem cumque voluptate enim. Dicta doloremque fuga ad quia nesciunt accusamus asperiores voluptatem. Saepe nobis et delectus neque molestias alias quia et.
