PS4 has more exclusives. Spider-man and Horizon Zero Dawn are two of the best games of this generation, plus all of the Naughty Dog Games.

Xbone has...Forza? Not a lot, really.

"ResearchLackey19" I want to buy PS4 but a buddy works at MSFT and said he can get me a nice discount. Its a real struggle.

So you'd save...$50? $100? Not exactly the big bucks

I have both. What kinds of games are you into? I have like 10 Xbox games and only three for PS4: Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Ratchet & Clank. I don't really play online so I'd go with the PS4 if I could only pick one, I think.

And shut up about your build a PC shit. They are not comparable goods. Nobody wants to sit in a fucking chair behind a desk to play video games. Oh but mah accuracy boiom headshot. fuck yourself dude

Yeah I used to play computer games 12 hours a day too. I was like 12. You still on that shit?

And aren't you a bunch of finance dudes? Just buy both and decide; they're not that expensive.

Xbox is way better for FPS. I think most sports games are cross platform. They don't really even make console RPGs anymore. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the closest thing. Nothing like KOTOR is being made. You might not have a lot of fun playing FPSs online though unless you have a lot of time to get good. Kids are just gonna spawn kill you. Open-world adventure type games are real big these days. And there are a lot of fun ones. Mad Max, Far Cry, Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3, God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn

I use xbox for casual gaming. I find it hard to really get into a big story game because I'll only play for 20 min to an hour at a time with week long breaks in-between. I just pop in CoD for a bit, play some zombies or TDM for a bit to relax then go on about my life. Back in high school/college I was able to put in over 100 hours into games like skyrim, witcher, ratchet & clank series etc but I've found I just don't have the mindset to spend 5hrs straight doing that shit anymore.

PS4 seems to be geared to those kinds of involved games, so I'd say skip that and get the xbone.

PS4 has better games. XBOne does have the benefit of backwards compatibility though, so you can play cool old games if you're into that. Still - Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Uncharted 4, etc. PS4 it is.

PCs are better at most things. My GTX 1080 is a complete beast. But sport games are dead on PC; no Sony exclusives either
