Quality speakers. I associate almost everything in my life to music so having that at home made all the difference. And I mean a real 2.1 or more type of setup, not just a portable bluetooth rig. Lets you extract the most from your tracks as intended when they were recorded in the studio whether it's the eagles or jay-z.

I got a solid set of bookshelf speakers (KEF's, 1" tweeter, 5-1/4" woofer) a while back and a subwoofer, but honestly the bass on the bookshelves are good enough I don't even use the sub, especially since I really don't want to piss off my neighbors (I'm already watching a lot of tv/movies with the sound up). Having a solid audio setup completely changes the tv/movie viewing experience.

I can't speak to the Jura, but a SuperAuto is a great call.  I've had my Saeco Incanto for over a decade ($400 refurb from Seattle Coffee Gear, which is a great outfit) and there is nothing as nice as hitting a button and getting a coffee (well, Americano) or espresso in the morning.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

A car that is technically advanced with features and performance feel that makes driving more fun

How does that make driving more fun?  I'm a stubborn manual transmission guy, and my bikes have all had carbs. Raw and basic connects you to the machine.  They had a mission statement when designing my car: "Jinba Ittai" (The horse and rider as one)  No amount of electronic nannies can beat that.

Fast and Fiduciary

High quality whiskey and learning how to like it. Now every time I visit home, my dad and I sit on the deck, pour two glasses and talk about life.

That's pretty cool bro. It's great you have close family to share life with.

Worth it

- Electric toothbrush: 5/5

It’s more efficient and effective in every sense. I can actually get done with brushing my teeth in 2 mins vs. 5. Dentist has noticed a difference, which will save me some money in cleaning procedures over time.

- Fun car: 3/5

Think like a top line WRX. It’s been nice but you get used it unless you push the car or drive a boring car on occasion and are reminded about the difference vs. your car. I don’t drive aggressively and don’t drive other cars very often. If I got a much faster or nimbler car, maybe the purchase would be rated higher.

This has been a big one for me after going to Japan.

1. A high end gym that makes you actually want to go.  Equinox or Life Time etc. When you’re feeling mentally drained there’s a big difference between having a nice gym to go to, vs having a place where you’ll be dealing with crowds, grime, and shitty A/C.

2. A full range of noise cancellation gear. Over-ear for the desk (I prefer Airpods Max but Sony & Bose pretty good) and for the road/gym I use custom IEMs from ACS; need to get fitted at audiologist but worth it.

I second the decent gym comment

Yeah definitely. I had the all access Equinox nationwide gym package for 4 years out of NYC. Good times.

The Gold's I used to go to had a sauna but they closed it and the new one doesn't which is sad.

Got any monitor recommendations?

I have a 47in monitor/TV in my home office and it is a game changer. Only thing I would recommend is getting a curved screen. Mine works ok, but curved seems better.
