Rasmussen Poll: Gingrich 41%, Romney 32%, Santorum 11%, Paul 8%

Is this really all America has to offer?

Following one of the greatest economic collapses in history and at a time when the fork in the road to bring this country back to prosperity vs tumbling further isn't more prominent..... Gingrich and Obama are our two fucking best? WTF has happened to this country - we are ruled by entitlement bitches and religious whores.

No one wants to take responsibility for jack shit anymore. Everyone thinks they are owed $100 bucks an hour and retirement at 40 because they put a god damn tire on a car -- I am sorry you didn't graduate HS and spent your time doing meth instead, better get fucking working.

Since when did legally making money become something you should be ashamed of? I was at a friends house this weekend and a couple of his friends were there and we ended up discussing politics. Everyone there besides myself and my buddy thought that salaries should be capped, Romney is evil for making the money he has, the rich should pay well over 50% of their income in taxes, getting a job for $10 an hour is somehow wrong and its the evil capitalist fault for them not being paid more, that capital gains should be well in excess of 35% (on top of your 50+% income tax) and healthcare/education should be "free". These are supposedly EDUCATED ADULTS with college degrees from good schools. I could only wonder what the talk is at a dinner table for the average lower class family. I think the days of people looking up to the business owners / capitalists are over in many respects. Everyone wants to be like fucking Europe. Its uncool to be American nowadays.

Its unfortunate.... Americans need to get their heads out of their ASSES, ASAP.

FFS, this country is becoming all gawdamn Redditors.

^ Totally agree that Obama is completely clueless on the economy.

This poll is definitely an outlier, but Newt is still ahead in most. It's just laughable at this point, we have the worst economic collapse since the great depression, which was largely due to the work of Freddie Mac, and who do the people want to fix the problem?...A lobbyist for Freddie Mac.

You cannot make this shit up. America is a fucking dumb country.

Who would want to go into politics, other than scumbags and egotists. You cannot get anything done and you have a public that wants all the goodies, but doesn't want to pay for it.

Focus on getting rich and you will be fine. Let the tards that make up the majority of the voting public fend for themselves.

This is one positive of Romney. He was successful in the private sector and if he wanted he could make millions more. Of course ego plays a role but Romney doesn't need the political power like Gingrich does.

a lot of people in this country aren't the brightest... George Bush got elected not once, but twice. Says a lot about how retarded voters really are.

I apologize if I come off as ignorant but I was hoping somebody could clear up some typical speaking points that have been said over the past few months. It seems all the candidates, besides Ron Paul, say the same shit over and over again..."Reduce govt, Obama doesn't know how the economy works, Obama has put in place too many regulations, Obamacare is terrible, etc." But when I look up some facts it seems Obama has not been doing as bad as people are making it out to be. Jobs are increasing, the stock market has sky rocketed since taking office, I've read that Obama has cut more regulations than any other president (Bush put in place the most apparently), the bailouts have been paid back (although unsure what they are doing with the money), etc. Granted there are some measures that aren't as good such as unemployment is still high, dollar has taken a hit, debt has ballooned, but many of these were primarily linked to the economic crisis which he didn't really play a part in. Obamacare, from what I've read, seems to be fine. Granted I have not read the whole thing, it seems to be fair and that people have options. However, I still am unclear on how the plan is being funded.

Before people go crazy, I'm in the Ron Paul camp. But both sides are saying a lot of contradictory statements about each other and I'm just trying to see if I can weed through the bullshit. Obviously I realize that a lot of the sources I got the information from could be biased as well. Just thought I'd take a shot at asking what's really going on and see if anyone can say what's fact/fiction.

To be fair, the cost of education in this country is getting to the point where people think it's insane. Private colleges cost 60k a year to attend. This is ridiculous. For instance, even 3rd tier MBA costs around 60-70k a year to attend.

European or Asian students would be shocked to see this level of tuition in their country. For instance, in Britain, educational costs are less than 1/5 th of the costs here in U.S.

You can buy a BMW M3 with one year of college/ grad school tuition, in many cases. And, accordingly a lot of students take shit load of debt to cover educational expenses. This is getting fucking out of control, and people deserve to feel pissed about this whole shit.

Referring to Ron Paul not saying the same as all the other candidates. Paul has been delivering his message for many years before Obama. All the other candidates at one point in time have flipped political views on certain subjects. All I'm saying is that it seems like the candidates, besides Ron Paul, are just saying this because they are stereotypical conservative ideals yet they haven't always followed them. They are just saying these things because they know it will appeal to the broad Republican base. I'm not trolling I'm just honestly trying to figure out what is real and what is not.
